3D sand printing technology is used in foundry processes, simplifying the processes of small-scale casting and new product development.

3D sand mold manufacturing (PCM) is one of the most advanced technologies for the production of foundry molds at present, which combines traditional sand casting technology and 3D printing. This technology allows for the rapid creation of sand molds and cores, which are effective for casting complex parts. PCM does not require pattern equipment, reducing the production cycle and production costs. In addition, when using 3D printing to create foundry molds, it is used without drawing design, which allows for corrections to be made to the mold model in a matter of hours.

Advantages of PCM technology:

  • The ability to create previously unavailable designs, including generative ones
  • The castings correspond to the 7th accuracy class
  • Minimum allowances – reduction of post-processing time up to 36%.
  • Create complex shapes and rods in hours instead of weeks
  • Reducing the time for each iteration in pilot production
  • Receiving a casting of a new product in 3 days instead of months
  • Reduction of material consumption
  • Lack of model equipment
  • Guarantee of repeatability of the obtained forms and rods
  • Lack of human factor
  • Reducing warehouse requirements
  • Indefinite storage of casting models and molds
